AMAZING RESULTS : WORLD CUP ROUND #2

We are really proud to announce that today in Cairns, Australia at the second round of the UCI world cup we won fastest team of the day award, thanks to 2 podiums from Mick Hannah, making an amazing come back with a 3rd place and Tracey Hannah getting one of her best career results with 2nd.

It hasn’t been easy every weekend but today we want to thank everyone for their effort and support. Thanks to our amazing staff, dedicated riders and to our awesome sponsors! And thanks to our fans!

Tracey, who lives in Cairns, produced a stellar run to claim a fine second place in the womens elite final.

Cheered on by thousands of fans, the James Cook university student improved by two places on her Rd1 result at Lourdes, France.

Mick, whose last 3rd place finish came in 2014, laid down a vintage run, and proved that he still has the pace to live with the very best in the sport.  A 3rd place behind reigning World Champion Loic Bruni and fellow countryman Troy Brosnan was jut deserve for such a performance.  Mick has also made a spectacular come back on the world cup overall ranking moving up to the 5th place now.

Spurned on by being back in the country he grew up in, Mick stated ;

“My goal today was tenth, so anything above that was a bonus, so it’s quite a big bonus,” said Hannah who finished third.

“I started getting a bit excited when I was going fast, I was trying to settle myself down the rest of the way. It was a good run, no major mistakes.”

Andrew Neethling, still building after a horror 2015 showed glimpses of form throughout the weekend and took a 35th place after a poor first sector cost him. It is of note that Andrew was 3rd at the speed trap in finals and continues to build his speed.

Alex Fayolle had an unfortunate crash in training prior to the event and sat out the race – but he will be back soon and looking to build on his 11th place qualifier at Lourdes.

In the team overall event we claimed a first place – giving all the staff the chance to stand a world cup podium and showing what strength we have as a squad!

All in all, the team has had a fantastic week in Cairns, enjoying the tropical environment and getting a chance for Mick and Tracey to perform in front of thousands of hyped up, excited fans.

We want to thank all of you for your continued support and allowing us to achieve moments like this!
